Large Abstract Paintings
This the third tree that I painted recently. I like to vary the balance of colours in the leaf area to achieve different overall finishes. I’ve used quite a lot of green and yellow paint to build up the leaves. Red is also quite prominent, along with a range of other colours as well. It is another painting that I have already stretched over a wooden support frame, to give dimensions of 120 cm (width) x 100 cm (height) x 3 cm (depth).
A customer living near me in south Somerset recently bought two large paintings from me. I had stretched both the canvases over wooden frames for him. These are two photos from him showing the paintings on display in his home.
A new, original tree I’ve just finished. Hand-painted on to a 120cm x 100cm x 3cm box canvas that’s ready to hang on your wall. Featuring lots of orange and yellow in the leaf-area, as well as many other colours too. Bright, colourful and expressive modern art; large canvases that will immediately create a focal point in any room.
I finished this tree painting today. It’s painted on to a 90cm x 70cm x 3cm box canvas – the canvas has been stretched over a wooden support frame and stapled to the back. It’s very colourful and bright, featuring many different colours, especially yellow, red and green leaves. It’s sure to brighten any room!
Most of my paintings are sent to customers around Britain via courier. They are sent as un-stretched canvases, rolled up in strong cardboard tubes. However, if you can collect from me here in south Somerset, I can supply the painting already stretched on to a wooden frame. You simply need to add your own picture hook to the back of this wooden stretcher frame in order to hang the painting on your wall.
This customer collected two paintings from me last Sunday. Both were black and white flower meadow paintings, with contrasting orange and yellow flower heads. They were custom sizes and both were stretched on to wooden frames. By the afternoon one of these paintings was on display in his home and I was delighted to receive this photo from him.
Although I mainly concentrate on painting large canvases that are 160cm x 112cm or bigger, I do also paint some that are smaller than this. Here’s an example of one of my grass meadow landscapes I recently completed. It is on a stretched canvas and measures 103 cm x 76 cm x 3 cm.
This is another grass meadow with a little more yellow in it. The canvas is also stretched on to a wooden frame. It measures 80 cm x 60 cm x 3 cm.
Lately I have been painting more pictures on box canvases. I make these canvases myself, stretching the canvas fabric over wooden stretcher frames and stapling it on the back. Two customers recently asked me for custom-size paintings, with both customers having bought paintings from me before. One customer asked for a 95cm x 50cm painting in the multi-coloured flower meadow style and the other customer asked for an orange and yellow flower meadow on a 115cm x 60cm canvas. These paintings are now safely wrapped in clear protective plastic and are awaiting collection from me in south Somerset.
If you can collect from me in south Somerset (and perhaps also central London) I can supply my paintings as framed canvases. This means the painted canvas fabric is already stretched on to a wooden support frame. You just need to attach your own picture hook to the back of the wooden frame in order to hang the painting on your wall. Conversely, if you’re not able to collect from me, I supply my paintings as un-stretched canvases, rolled up in cardboard tubes. These are sent via courier around Great Britain.
Below is a flower meadow painting I recently finished. The framed (stretched) canvas measures 151 cm x 103 cm x 3 cm.
Last weekend my customer collected this painting from me. I had stretched the canvas over a wooden frame so the painting was ready to hang on his wall straight away. He just needed to add his own picture hook to the back of it. As a South African, he told me that this grass meadow painting reminded him of the South African bush, which was a lovely comment. If you are able to collect from me in south Somerset I am usually able to supply my paintings already stretched on to wooden frames.
A really large and colourful modern art flower painting by me, Rich Gane. Featuring lots of different coloured flowers, especially yellow ones. The flowers sweep up both sides of the canvas. In the background a lovely blue sky fades to white on the horizon. This un-stretched canvas measures approximately 112 cm x 85 cm (44 inches x 33.5 inches). I also paint similar abstract flower paintings in different colour schemes and on larger canvases.
