Large Abstract Paintings
Lots of different colours in this new original drip painting, especially yellow and blue. The colours are densely packed at the top of the canvas. They drip down the canvas creating an endless series of abstract patterns. This un-stretched canvas is 160 cm wide and 112 cm high. Hand-painted modern wall art by me, Rich Gane.
Most of my paintings are on un-stretched canvases as this works better when sending the paintings via couriers to customers around Great Britain. However, I can also supply the painting as a canvas that is already stretched over a wooden frame, if you can collect it from me in south Somerset. That means the painting is ready to hang on your wall straight away. Below is an original tree painting that I stretched on to a 120 cm x 100 cm x 3 cm wooden stretcher frame. The customer collected it from me a few days’ ago.
This painting is currently on its way to my customer via the courier Parcelforce. I was asked if I could paint one of my vertical drip paintings with a particular combination of colours. The customer was keen on the canvas featuring a reasonable amount of turquoise, pink and blue, with only a small amount of red. I did my best to try to get a good balance of these colours, as well as the many other colours that I usually include in a painting like this. The customer was able to review the photos of the finished painting that I emailed her before deciding to then go ahead with the purchase.

I was delighted to be sent this photo from a customer recently. It shows one of my abstract large tree paintings now on display in her home. The tree has lots of different colours but there’s a particular emphasis on orange and yellow in the foliage. The customer was keen for the colours in my painting to work with the colour palette in her room. Customer showcase photos are a great way to see how my art looks in different real-world settings.
Multi-coloured grass stems fill this very large new canvas painting. The grass reaches up to the top on both sides of the canvas. Behind the grass meadow the green and yellow landscape gradually fades to white on the horizon. A pale blue sky, with a hint of yellow, completes the painting. 160cm x 112cm un-stretched canvas.
It’s been a long time since I painted one of my yellow star paintings on a blue background. I’m not sure I’ve ever painted one on a very large 160 cm x 112 cm canvas like this. I think I may try some other paintings where I experiment with different coloured backgrounds for this yellow sun. Experimentation is fundamental to the art that I do!
My tree paintings are some of the most popular canvases that I paint. Normally I paint them on large landscape-orientation canvases but I do also sometimes paint them on portrait-orientation canvases. The two photos below are from different customers showing my tree art on display in their homes. The tree canvases are different sizes and one is a landscape painting and the other is a portrait painting.

One of my very large modern art tree paintings, this time with a blue colour scheme. The painting measures 160cm x 112cm as an un-stretched canvas. This means that the loose sheet of canvas I have painted the picture on is not attached to a wooden stretcher frame. There are many different colours of paint in this artwork, but there is a particular emphasis on shades of blue. I can also paint similar trees on a smaller scale as well.
