I was particularly pleased with the balance of colours in this blue flower drip painting that I finished yesterday. The colours of the flower heads are nicely balanced with the greens and other colours in the flower stems and grass below them. As in this canvas, I generally like the flowers to sweep up either side of the painting and have the central area slightly lower. It’s as if the viewer is then looking through the painting in to the distant horizon.
This un-stretched canvas measures 160 cm x 112 cm.
