Before and after – hanging my painting
This was a large drip painting that I sent to a customer in London. The first photo shows the wall being painted in preparation for my canvas to be hung on it. The black paint that they chose to paint the wall with contrasts in a very appealing way with the surroundings. It also really shows off my abstract canvas. Customer photos are a fantastic way to appreciate how my art looks in people’s homes.
Pink and Red Star on Black Canvas
This is a new starburst painting of mine on a painted black canvas. There’s a particular focus on pink and red in this painting but it also features many other colours as well. The colours all radiate out from the centre in a very energetic and expressive way. This un-stretched canvas measures 160 cm x 112 cm.
Brown and yellow dot and spot canvas
This is my most recently completed painting. It has quite a natural feel with lots of earthy colours including shades of brown, yellow, green and blue. The colours have been applied as drips and streaks of paint first of all, followed by numerous dots and spots of paint on top. The overall finish is fairly uniform with a particularly decorative quality. This original abstract painting has been created by hand on to an un-stretched 160 cm x 112 cm (63 inches x 44 inches) sheet of canvas.
Blue Drip and Dot 152cm x 100cm Canvas
An exciting and very colourful new original painting by me, Rich Gane. Dots, drips and spots of many different colours of paint have been energetically applied to the canvas by hand to create an expressive and lively piece of modern wall art. Several types of blue paint tilt the colour scheme in that direction overall. Pink and Lilac Dot and Spot 152cm x 122cm Canvas
This painting is a different size from my normal sizes. However, I do find that people are sometimes looking for canvases that have different dimensions from the paintings that I have finished so it’s nice to have a few canvas sizes in stock of completed paintings. This original dot and spot painting includes quite a lot of pink and lilac, as well as a whole range of other colours. The canvas measures: 152 cm x 122 cm (60 inches x 48 inches).
Wide 244cm x 112cm Pink Drip Canvas
Most of the time the widest canvases I paint are 244 cm (96 inches). This original drip painting measures 244 cm x 112 cm and it includes many different colours, particularly pink. When buying an un-stretched canvas like this it’s always possible for you to cut the canvas down to suit your size requirements. This adds a level of size-flexibility to my completely abstract canvases which you may find quite helpful.
Horizontal and Vertical Stripes Canvas
Paint has been dripped in all four directions on to this original canvas – up and down and side to side. I really love the different colour balances this creates at different sections of the painting. I’ve used many different colours, including yellow, white and lilac. This is an original, hand-painted abstract picture, on an un-stretched canvas that measures 152 cm x 100 cm (60 inches x 39.5 inches). Drip and Dot Original Canvas Painting
Each of my abstract drip paintings is a unique work of art. There are endless different ways of combining colours of paint on a very large canvas like this. This really helps to keep me feeling inspired and enjoying the process of creating each painting. As soon as I finish a canvas such as this I find that I am already thinking about new colour schemes and painting techniques that I want to try on the next canvas. I hope that this helps to keep the paintings fresh and spontaneous.
