Grass Meadow with Pink Sunset

I’m always keen on experimenting with my art. Normally I paint my meadow canvases with a blue sky but I wanted to see how one of my very wide canvases would look with a vivid pink sky. It suggests a sunset to me but that being said, I do encourage the viewer to interpret these abstract paintings in your own way – there are no right or wrong interpretations! This un-stretched canvas measures approximately 244cm x 112cm. If you have a large area of blank wall space a painting such as this could be the perfect way to immediately add colour and joy to the room.

Shadows on the Water

This is another of my black and white canvas prints depicting a stretch of river near my home. The river bank is lined with trees and the shadows of these trees can be seen on the surface of the water. The scene is from winter time and so there are no leaves on the trees – this helps to highlight the complex patterns of the smaller branches.

Somerset River Bend Monochrome Print

This is another of my recent large black and white canvas prints. I was feeling particularly inspired by this stretch of river near me back in December of last year and so I have created several canvas prints based on the scenery at this location. In this monochrome print the river is turning to the right as it meanders across the fields. A group of small trees dip down in to the water on the left hand side and their reflections can be seen in the shimmering water. This large canvas print is signed by me, Rich Gane, on both the front and back.

Black and White Landscape Canvas Print

Most of my canvases are original, hand-painted artworks. They tend to be full of colour and very expressive. However, I also have for sale a small selection of large black and white prints. These prints are designed by me and then printed on to very large un-stretched canvases. This monochrome print is based on a lovely stretch of river near me in rural Somerset. Trees line the banks of the river and the landscape besides the river stretches up a gentle hill in the background to the horizon.

Customer Showcase Photo of my Yellow Star

This morning I was emailed this lovely photo from a recent customer. It shows one of my large yellow star paintings now on display in his home, directly above the bed. These customer showcase photos really help to show how my paintings look in real-life settings. Yellow, orange, red and many other colours radiate out from the centre of the canvas in all directions, projecting sunshine and warmth around the room.

Orange and Light Brown Tree Painting

This is a tree painting I finished a few days ago in a new colour scheme. It features lots of orange and brown in the leaf area of the tree, particularly light brown or oatmeal colour. I think these two colours complement each other well. The vibrancy of the orange is balanced with the more natural and earthy tones of the browns. My large original tree paintings are some of my most popular wall art canvases. I hand-paint them to certain colour schemes but each one remains a unique piece of art. I have just shipped a light brown tree painting to a customer that will be given to her sister for her 40th birthday present.

Orange Flower Meadow Drip Painting

This very wide (244 cm) painting has orange as the main colour for the flower heads. The flowers sweep up to the top at either end of the canvas. It’s a really vibrant and uplifting hand-painted piece of original wall art. I also paint similar flower meadow canvases with different colour schemes for the flower heads.

Extra Wide Dot and Spot Painting with Lilac

I decided to finish this painting with layers of lilac, white, orange and yellow. It mainly features numerous dots and spots of paint but there are also some longer drips and streaks of paint that help to add contrast and spontaneity. This un-stretched canvas measures 244 cm x 112 cm. My original wall art helps to immediately transform any room!

Yellow Star on Black Canvas

My ‘starburst’ or ‘sun’ canvases are some of my favourite pictures to paint. I usually paint them on either white or black painted backgrounds. This one features a yellow sun on a black background. As well as yellow there are lots of other colours including orange, red and pink. Rays of light stream out from the centre in all directions. There are also lots of small dots of colour all over the canvas, perhaps representing stars in the night sky. I’ve also painted similar starbursts with green, blue and purple as the predominant colour.

Vertical Drip Painting on 244cm Canvas

This original drip painting is on a really wide 244 cm / 8 feet wide canvas and it is 112 cm / 44 inches high. Subtle changes to the order in which I apply the colours can affect how the finished painting looks. In this case, I added pale blue quite late on which has softened the overall appearance. In addition to all the other colours, yellow helps to add warmth and the white paint helps to provide highlights and ‘tie’ the painting together.
