Two Commissioned Paintings in Custom Sizes

These are two commissioned paintings that are ready to be dispatched to my customer next month. They’re both custom sizes, to suit the wall spaces that the customer has available. The customer’s friend has a painting of mine that this customer tells me she has ‘admired for a while’. Following a redecoration this customer now has room for a couple of my paintings.

After a little bit of discussion we decided that I would paint un-stretched canvases measuring 136 cm x 95 cm for the painting going in their hall and 126 cm x 126 cm for the painting going in their lounge. Both paintings are based on designs of mine, although since I paint all of my pictures by hand, no two are ever quite the same.

Initially, the hall painting was going to be a square of 136 cm x 136 cm. The customer wanted the paintings to be as big as possible to maximise the ‘colourful impact’ that my art has. However, in the end the customer decided that her painting should have the same proportions as the rectangular painting of mine it was based on, so that meant reducing the height of the new painting to 95 cm.

These paintings will be rolled up and sent to the customer by courier next month, when she is back in the UK.

Four Paintings for One Customer!

It’s always really appreciated when a customer returns to buy a second painting from me at a later date. It’s even more appreciated when a customer ends up owning four of my paintings! Below are two photos from such a customer, showing all four of my paintings on display in his home, along with a couple of other paintings as well. He’s clearly a big fan of art.

The paintings he bought from me were a grass meadow landscape, a black and white flower meadow with orange and yellow flowers, a completely abstract dot and spot canvas and finally, a black and white tree painting.

New Flower Painting Just Finished

This is a new painting that I’m currently packaging up and getting ready for dispatch with the courier. It’s the second painting for this customer who already owns one of my canvases. This flower meadow was inspired by another flower painting I did some time ago. The customer saw my customer showcase photo of that flower painting and asked if I could paint a similar one for them. No two of these paintings are ever quite the same but I did my best to create a new canvas that captured the main elements of the older painting. This flower meadow was painted on to an un-stretched 160 cm x 112 cm canvas. Some photos of the new painting are shown below.

Custom Size Dot Painting on Stretched Canvas

This morning my customer collected this painting from me. He had commissioned me to paint this dot and spot painting on a 210 cm x 135 cm stretched canvas. It is in fact his fourth painting from me. I’m able to supply my paintings already stretched on to wooden frames if you can collect from me in south Somerset. Otherwise, I normally send my paintings to you via couriers as un-stretched canvases, rolled up in strong cardboard tubes.

It was then really lovely to be sent these photos from the customer, showing this painting now on display in his home.

Blue Tree Abstract Spot Painting

One of my very large modern art tree paintings, this time with a blue colour scheme. The painting measures 160cm x 112cm as an un-stretched canvas. This means that the loose sheet of canvas I have painted the picture on is not attached to a wooden stretcher frame. There are many different colours of paint in this artwork, but there is a particular emphasis on shades of blue. I can also paint similar trees on a smaller scale as well.

An exciting and very colourful new original painting by me, Rich Gane. Dots, drips and spots of many different colours of paint have been energetically applied to the canvas by hand to create an expressive and lively piece of modern wall art. Several types of blue paint tilt the colour scheme in that direction overall. A new hand-painted, original painting by me, Rich Gane. Full of colour and vibrancy, this canvas features endless drips and stripes of painting flowing up and down. I like to try to create abstract art with a decorative quality that brings colour and joy to people’s homes. This un-stretched canvas measures approximately: 152 cm x 103 cm (60 inches x 40.5 inches).

Drip and Dot Original Canvas Painting

Each of my abstract drip paintings is a unique work of art. There are endless different ways of combining colours of paint on a very large canvas like this. This really helps to keep me feeling inspired and enjoying the process of creating each painting. As soon as I finish a canvas such as this I find that I am already thinking about new colour schemes and painting techniques that I want to try on the next canvas. I hope that this helps to keep the paintings fresh and spontaneous.
