Large Abstract Paintings
This is a large yellow star painting I recently painted for a customer, in a custom size and colour scheme. I was asked to include some metallic gold paint in the design. Rays of bright colour radiate out in all directions. This sun painting is guaranteed to bring warmth and sunshine to any room! The un-stretched canvas measured 100 cm by 70 cm. It was signed on the back. I rolled the canvas up and sent the painting to my customer via courier.
One of my very large modern art tree paintings, this time with a blue colour scheme. The painting measures 160cm x 112cm as an un-stretched canvas. This means that the loose sheet of canvas I have painted the picture on is not attached to a wooden stretcher frame. There are many different colours of paint in this artwork, but there is a particular emphasis on shades of blue. I can also paint similar trees on a smaller scale as well.

Most of the time the widest canvases I paint are 244 cm (96 inches). This original drip painting measures 244 cm x 112 cm and it includes many different colours, particularly pink. When buying an un-stretched canvas like this it’s always possible for you to cut the canvas down to suit your size requirements. This adds a level of size-flexibility to my completely abstract canvases which you may find quite helpful.
Paint has been dripped in all four directions on to this original canvas – up and down and side to side. I really love the different colour balances this creates at different sections of the painting. I’ve used many different colours, including yellow, white and lilac. I’m always keen on experimenting with my art. Normally I paint my meadow canvases with a blue sky but I wanted to see how one of my very wide canvases would look with a vivid pink sky. It suggests a sunset to me but that being said, I do encourage the viewer to interpret these abstract paintings in your own way – there are no right or wrong interpretations! This is a tree painting I finished a few days ago in a new colour scheme. It features lots of orange and brown in the leaf area of the tree, particularly light brown or oatmeal colour. I think these two colours complement each other well. The vibrancy of the orange is balanced with the more natural and earthy tones of the browns. My large original tree paintings are some of my most popular wall art canvases. I hand-paint them to certain colour schemes but each one remains a unique piece of art. I have just shipped a light brown tree painting to a customer that will be given to her sister for her 40th birthday present.
